Description: The Emergency Medical Technician – Basic course is designed to provide training to prepare an individual to function independently in a medical emergency. This course provides the basic knowledge and skills needed to provide basic life support (BLS) care and is required to progress to more advanced levels of prehospital patient care.

Prerequisites:

Students must be 16 years of age or older at the start of class. An approved CPR certification course will be held on Monday January 23rd and Wednesday January 25th 2012 at the Warren County Government Center starting at 1830hrs each night. All students registering for the EMT Basic Course must have an approved CPR certification that does not expire until after October 2012. Cost: Personnel affiliated with WCFR: No Cost

Non-affiliated Warren County personnel $200.00

Registration: Training Registration Forms are to be submitted online at: http://registration.warrencountyfire.com

Training Registration Forms are due by Monday January 16th 2012. We must have a minimum registration of fifteen (15) students in order to hold the course.
